Birmingham Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, LLC is a newly opened clinic in the Inverness area of Birmingham, Alabama dedicated to treating autistic and neurologically delayed children. It is the only clinic of its kind in Alabama and one of very few in the southeast. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (hbot) has rapidly become a treatment of choice in the biomedical care of autism and PDD and is a vital part of the DAN! protocol. We are ourselves parents of autistic children and after becoming frustrated by the lack of available care for our boys, became hbot providers to bring this valuable service to the autistic community. We utilize nurses, EMT’s, and certified techs to deliver safe, effective hyperbaric care as ordered by the prescribing physician. Since we don’t have the overhead or the restrictions of the larger hospital based facilities, we are able to keep treatment cost well below the national average and provide care to more of the people who need it. As parents of autistic children we understand the urgency of obtaining treatment and vow to adapt to the needs of this population by providing abundant "tank time" and growing our offerings as necessary. We will consistently be professional, compassionate, patient and understanding and take joy with you as we watch our children recover.
